Finding Your Flow: five reasons to practice yoga at home
Regularly attending yoga classes is beneficial for learning, building, and maintaining a practice. As part of a group, you share energy, find inspiration from others, and learn to accept yourself wherever you might be in each asana. Home practice is important, too, because that's where you're able to fine-tune alignment and really grow as a yogi. Here at The Juice Sisters, we practice yoga at home nearly every day. Every minute on your mat counts, and here's why.

1. Intuitive Alignment
Practicing at home is a place to really take time to feel your alignment and make subtle changes as you grow more flexible. We always practice an extra time on our less flexible or strong side!
2. Give Love to Challenging Poses
The more you practice asana, the more your body understands and knows the pose. Practicing at home can be a place to find "happy spots" in challenging poses so that your weaknesses turn into your strengths and your tighter parts become points of flexibility.
3. Start Your Day in a Happy Place
You know the feeling you have when you leave class? You're completely refreshed and at peace? Find it at home with every practice, every day. The more you practice being happy, the more you will find yourself actually being happy.
4. Meditate in Each Pose
During class, the teacher will offer corrections and direction, but at home you can play your favorite calming music and really find your place of inner peace during each pose. Sometimes it's more challenging that it seems!
5. Increase Mindfulness
The practice of yoga includes the practice of mindfulness. The more you practice mindfulness, the more it becomes habit.
